It’s been almost 2 years since Ivan Lim decided to drop out of GE2020. Back then the PAP said that they would investigate all the allegations against him, but after that it was radio silence. Just yesterday they finally announced that they have investigated. Yet their announcement said nothing much about the complains against Ivan’s character!
“Investigations by the People’s Action Party (PAP) have confirmed that its former potential election candidate Ivan Lim was not involved in any of Keppel Offshore & Marine’s controversial Brazilian projects.”

We waited 2 years and that’s all they have to say?
The main issue with Ivan Lim isn’t even about Keppel. Is that he had questionable character since his NS/poly days! The issue is that at every stage of his life people had something bad to say about him!
Why did they need to take a year just to confirm that he isn’t a part of the controversial projects with Keppel? Were they unable to deny that this guy is an arrogant, elitist, condescending prick like everyone who knows him claims?
In fact, about his character, all they said was that it is “subjective”.
“Perceptions on such matters are varied and subjective. But what is clear is that there is no question about Mr Lim’s integrity and honesty, and his sincerity in wanting to serve the community,”

Even if it’s subjective, the fact that so many people say so many things from all periods of his life must mean something! How can we trust PAP to field the right candidates if they just dismiss these complaints as “subjective” views?
They suddenly decided to talk about him after 2 years, does this mean they are planning to bring him back?
Ivan lim will be free rider in the next election if he field in the next he will pull the whole team down.
